We intend on chatting about cybercrime and fraud we see occurring on a daily basis to companies, specifically those crimes occurring against small to midsize businesses, manufacturing companies, and contractors. 


Our Speakers:

James Terry, SVP, Director of Operational Risk, NBT Bancorp In this position, Jim oversees corporate security, fraud detection and prevention, and information assurance functions across NBT Bancorp, including three divisions and two financial service companies. He oversees a team of 11 staff dedicated to preventing, detecting, and investigating financial crimes and cybercrimes against the enterprise and its clients. Jim has been in the financial crime field for 16 years, and prior to his current role has served in various positions at both the Bank of New York and NBT Bancorp, including investigator, information security officer, and section manager. He has received numerous awards and recognition for his efforts to assist financial institutions and law enforcement.

Mark McDermott, Third Party Risk & Fraud Analyst, NBT Bancorp In this position, Mark assists the Information Security Officer with the development, oversight, implementation, and education of the Third Party Risk Management Program for NBT Bancorp, including planning, due diligence, contract negotiation, ongoing monitoring, and termination of third party relationships. Prior to joining Information Security, Mark spent a year in NBT’s Management Development Program, rotating through various departments of the organization and gaining experience in multiple areas of financial services
